Electrical aggregation is a process which allows the Town to pool, or aggregate the residents and small businesses utilizing the utility’s basic service rate together, and to then seek competitive bids from licensed electric suppliers for the cost of electricity (purchased by kilowatt hour) used by the Town’s ratepayers.
The Town of Shirley’s Electric Aggregation Program was approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities in Docket Number 17-21.
